From 2006 to 2008, my role was Chairman of Ross-on-Wye Scout Group. 2007 was the Centenary Year and Cubs sing a song I wrote.

The picture you see in the box is a bit blurred but no matter.

The recording session was an entirely new experience.  When the camera-work had been completed after the Cubs were singing - no bagpipe, I was asked to listen to the recording and play the tune.  The sound-duo of Cub parents , then recorded the pipe-sound.

The song and bagpipe tune went on to be played worldwide.

here?

A somewhat spectacular interpretaion of the song was in this gang show in 2007.  more on the 2011 show.  There was a song and dance routine.

Again, the young people will carry their music and confidence foward to enriching adult lives.

A young leader recorded his version of the song.

Here is the camp-fire version with a pre-camping-practice piano-line built in. The bagpipe music is above.

These days, the first few words should read "It's more than a century..."
